Collaborative Observational Study of Myopia in COMET Children (COSMICC)

Myopia: The optical condition in which only rays from a finite distance fro the eye focus on the retina. Also known as nearsightedness.

Dr. Mitchell Scheiman is the principal investigator of the Collaborative Observational Study of Myopia in COMET Children (COSMICC).  

This study is designed to develop predictive models and identify factors that characterize changes over a 9-year period in myopia and axial length in the cohort of children who have participated in the Correction of Myopia Evaluation Trial.
