Admissions Procedures
- Submit a properly completed application to Central Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA) www.caspaonline.org.
- Submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended (or transcripts, if still in college). Transcripts must be submitted directly to CASPA.
- Arrange to have the official scores from a Graduate Record Examination (GRE) sent directly to the PCO Admissions Office. The GRE must have been taken within three years prior to the start date of the entering class for which the candidate is seeking admissions. PCO’s institutional code for the GRE is 2645.
- Arrange for required letters of evaluation to be sent to CASPA.
- Applicants must be able to document a minimum of 100 hours as a volunteer in a healthcare related field, or 100 hours of employment in a healthcare related area, or a combination of healthcare related experience. Please include all Physician Assistant shadowing experiences n the "Health Care Related Experience" section of your CASPA application. Examples of Health Care Experience.
- Immunization Requirements for Health Care Providers are required to have been completed by the time school starts.
- In addition, it is strongly recommended that candidates spend time observing practicing physician assistants and be familiar with the role of the physician assistant as a member of the healthcare team.
- All applicants must be able to meet the program's technical standards
International Students need to provide the Admissions Office with the following information:
- A course-by-course credential review from an accredited agency, which evidences all post-secondary studies completed. These services are provided by various agencies, however, ECE (Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc. is the recommended agency for physician assistant candidates.

- Official result of a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) examination. A minimum TOEFL score of 550 is required (213 if the TOEFL is computer based). International students who have received a bachelors degree, or higher, from an accredited United States college or university do not have to take the TOEFL.
All credentials submitted on behalf of an applicant become part of that applicant’s record with the College and cannot be returned.
