  • Fellow of American Academy of Optometry
  • Member of Vision Sciences Society
  • CE Quality Assurance Committee (American Academy of Optometry)

Research Activities:

Psychophysical study of human visual perception and action.  Current research, supported by the National Institutes of Health, focuses on:

  1. Binocular depth and binocular rivalry perception.
  2. Intermediate level surface representation.
  3. Visual attention mechanisms.
  4. Space perception and action in the real and virtual-reality environments.
  5. The role of neural plasticity/learning mechanisms in the integration of perceptual and motor systems for accurate visually guided action, and the clinical implications (e.g., in amblyopia, brain injury rehabilitation, etc.).
